ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT IRIS SALES 2024

“The University of Minnesota is not endorsing or sponsoring the activities conducted by the
Iris Society on the University of Minnesota campus. The relationship between the
University of Minnesota and Iris Society is solely that of licensor and licensee.”

This annual event at the Arb consists of iris that are Minnesota grown, and are adapted to our climate.

Last year's sale included 208 cultivars with more than 5200 rhizomes to choose from.  About 2/3 of those cultivars were TB's, with the remainder being a wide selection of SDB's,  BB's, DB's, IB's, and even an AB.

This year's selections currently includes over 130 different cultivars from 8 different classes of iris. Most will be varieties that have not been available for sale for several years, and some may even be first time offers.

The (Sneak Preview) is a preview of those that are expected to be available at the sale. Included this year will be the rare opportunity to purchase some moisture loving Siberian, as well as the tall, graceful Spuria cultivars.  The photos are divided by class and more cultivars are expected to be added as the sale dates approach.

There are multiple dates for the sale to allow shoppers flexibility, but be aware that the earlier the date the larger the selection, as all cultivars have a limited number of rhizomes available.
